Suspected drunk driver crashes Tesla into Girl Scout table at Granite Bay Walmart: Three people were hurt following a suspected drunk driver crashed the Tesla into the Girl Scout table outside a Walmart in Granite Bay, authorities said on Saturday.

There were two children who were afflicted with moderate injuries. A third woman was among the victims, who sustained serious injuries. All three victims were admitted to local hospitals according to the Highway Patrol of California’s Auburn division.

In the report by CHP Auburn, 69-year-old Gary Benson was involved in a crash at about 4 p.m. at the intersection near Sierra College along Douglas Boulevard. CHP stated that a 10-year-old and a 9-year-old were both taken to the hospital for moderate injuries.

The two youngsters included Girls Scouts who were working at the stand.

A woman who was 78 years old was taken to the hospital after suffering serious injuries.

The driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the impaired by drugs when driving. Police declared that he would be taken to the Placer County jail on Saturday evening.

The CHP stated that who drove the Tesla was known by the name of Cameron Park local Gary L. Benson -was driving in the lot parking area when he let his car hit the Girl Scout cookies table near the entry point into the Walmart.

Benson was arrested in the Placer County Jail and faces charges, including DUI that resulted in injuries.
